Elevator Gets Stunning Makeover

Baker’s refinishes elevator cab in San Francisco

Over time, older buildings typically require updates. They need structural “check-ups” and maintenance as well as updates to dated décor. Elevators in commercial buildings typically need both maintenance and cosmetic updates.

Baker’s Floor and Surface recently completed a wood refinishing project in a dated elevator cab. This project was located in an older commercial building in San Francisco. For this project, we refinished and changed the color of the wood panels. Our expert technicians completely sanded down the panels, stained them to the desired color and completed the job with a lacquer finish. This wood refinishing project was completed in just one day.

Projects like these often have time constraints. Elevators in particular, need to be functional. We understand these needs and work around your schedule. With every wood restoration project, we first evaluate the project to determine the best way to achieve the desired outcome. Our wood specialists follow the American Woodwork Institute’s standards and can provide cost-effective methods for restoring and refinishing wood surfaces.

Our team of specialists have worked with all types of wood and completed numerous restoration/refinishing projects. Whether your wood project requires simple “reconditioning” or completely stripping and re-staining, our team of specialists will get the job done right. To schedule a consultation, contact Baker’s Floor and Surface today.
